| A Constitution?We, men and women of
earth, do hereby accord our beliefs and common goals for the betterment
and continued security of citizens on this our world. As citizens of a united and common movement, we hereby declare our purpose and the means by which we achieve said purpose. In
the interest of peace, brotherhood, and prosperity, the most singular
goal of our world will be the general happiness of its citizens. This
will be achieved in myriad ways. Security of possessions will be guaranteed by the brotherhood of fellow humans.
None will take from another, or destroy that of another's, or otherwise
molest another's possessions, without their consent, or, should the
possessor be unable to give consent, without consent of closest of
relation, first by genetics, then by fellows/acquaintances. Security of livelihood will be guaranteed by multiple means.
Work will be available directly after education. Education will decide
career path, but should the chosen career prove unavailable or the
worker unacceptable for the career, alternate forms of contribution to
humanity will be presented. Adequate shelter, food, clothing,
and other necessities will be provided in an organized manner by fellow
citizens. This will include a ration based upon the specific needs of
the individual, or of the family unit, should there be one. Most
importantly to the continued betterment of our world through us, the
people and inhabitants of earth, is security of purpose and intent.
In order to maintain a sense of wellbeing and continued spirit, all
citizens will be instructed in and follow the declaration of the
greater good. The purpose of all actions, second to happiness and
wellbeing of self, is the continued happiness and wellbeing of fellow
citizens. This will be achieved in a number of ways.
Continued contribution through labor, whether of chosen career,
or temporary necessary other work, will always be for the greater good
of humanity, and not for personal gain. Any labor undertaken will
supply the undertaker with immortality in the memory of humanity,
although most likely not by name, but simply by the fact that their
labor was undertaken with the good of all of humanity, present and
future, in mind. However, in an individuals free time,
they may make any enterprize they wish for their happiness, wellbeing,
or anything they feel the need to. These enterprises must not harm others in any way, without their prior consent. Education
will provide the mental mindset necessary for citizens to take pleasure
in any contribution to society that they will undertake. Works shall
always be a source of happiness, no matter its nature.
Displeasure with work will be addressed by the citizen to their
fellows, and a change can be empowered, should the grounds be
reasonable. Decisions on any matter, in keeping with the spirit of
security of the individual, and their happiness, and the greater good
of the global citizenry, will be decided by voting. Any
individual may take part in any vote; however, they must do so at their
discretion, in order to provide a decision that benefits the maximum
amount of persons. Votes will be made anonymously. Votes of
positive or negative will be made. The majority of votes in whichever
favor will be the one on which the decision is carried out. Any citizen can and may request a vote on any matter. In
order to further and maintain this democratic and communal state, all
children, from an early age, will receive an extensive education.
At the very most basic level, this must include indoctrination towards
the ideals of wellbeing and happiness of the self, and the motivation
to strive in as many ways as possible for the greater good. A sense of
global brotherhood, community, and friendliness will be encouraged, as
well as the skills, in both physical and mental manners, to continue
their wellbeing, and that of the greater good. A working
knowledge of basic language and communication systems from an early age
will be imperative, as well as mathematics and social skills. Knowledge of history will be stressed, but not to the maximum degree. Knowledge of their purpose and the reasoning behind it is imperative, as well as how their system works.
Most basic and early must be education in methods of logic and
reasoning, in order to facilitate further learning and to ensure a
complete, self-accepted and reasonable global citizen. Later, a
career may be selected based on the individual's preferences, or,
should they lack preferences, or sufficient skills necessary to that
career, they will choose a new one. Should they be unable to choose
another, they will be placed in the next most urgent position.
This
concludes the first draft of the Ideals and Standards of Humanity For a
Unified and Content World Community. Should any editing be necessary,
consultation with fellow citizens and at least one vote must be
undertaken, to ensure quality and adherence to values of the spirit of
the greater good.

| And so it comes time again to rant. Plato's Republic is quite enlightening. Some of his ideas are consistant with mine. Others expose an elitist mindset. He himself speaks of the Greater Good of society, and a ration. However, his methods include inequalities. Although equality is not necessarily natural, it is important to my ideas taking root. Any elitist movements will be shot down by feel-good left wingers and freedom-defending right wingers in a heartbeat. However, that's not to say my system would not include equalities. It is important to realize that by the very nature of our world, not all citizens would require, nor recieve the exact same ration. Also, the accumulation of material goods is not restricted. If you want to collect rocks, go ahead. If motorbikes is your thing, go for it. Just don't let it take away from your contributions to society. You accumulate as many baseball cardsa as you want, but once it starts involving hurting others, or limiting your plane-piloting or teaching abilities, realize others will notice, and you should put things back in order. But this would not be a problem, for the most part, because the Ed.Sys. (shorthand for my extensive education system [I've talked about brainwashing, and I'll talk about it again]) would instruct from a young age that a simple life is often the most productive, and happiest. I've realized, with the help of Kurt Vonnegut's Galapagos, that most of our problems today are/were caused by other people in the first place. Monetary troubles? We made up money! Wars? We made up the ideas of countries, and borders! Religious conflicts? We made up God, too! So I think, at heart, any government/social/economic system should have survival as its basic driving force. After survival, I think happiness is the next most important thing. Third, progress. There are always new ways to survive, as things change, and new ways to be happy. And it'd be such as shame to waste these big brains (of whom Vonnegut seemed such a big opponent of) on just simply living. We seem to be aware of a whole huge universe out there. Why not explore and learn about it in all the ways we can, in the name of survival, happiness, and progress? Always with as much safety and knowledge as we can. Don't want to ruin any fragile interplanetary ecosystems, now do we? FOR THE GREATER GOOD!

| Who wants to give me some ideas for pamphlets? No joke. I want to crank out a good 500 or so papers with some funky shit on them, and post them around the school, T-burg, and Ithaca. Maybe even e-mail them to my friends in others states and get them to hang them up around their towns. Would that not be the shit? I'm thinking maybe some kind of picture, some general thought-inciting info, and a link to here or my other xanga. What else, do y'all think? What''ll get the good word out? For the Greater Good!

| -WAKE UP!- -America
is in grave danger. Our "elected" leaders spy on us even while they
mask our eyes from the rise of the rest of the world. Industry heads in
conjunction with our government are leading us like sheep to the
slaughter, with ridiculous wars, out-of-control economic situations,
and no wish to empower, or change our downhill spiral of cultural and
social depravity.- -You stare @ me like I'm a vitamin on the surface you hate but you know you need me I'll come dressed as any pill deem fit whatever helps you swallow truth all the more easily- - ® E V O L U T I O N - -The only solution The armed response of an ENTIRE NATION!-

| Education, I believe, will be what will make the difference for humanity. I think, with the right education, you can teach most anyone to do anything. I believe that the right curriculum could teach people to work better together, and counter balance whatever greed and selfish is supposedly inherent in humankind. Instituting rigorous classes drilling certain ideals into the minds of young children could make the difference. Yeah, sounds like brainwashing. I have heard some say that free will should be considered. Let people find themselves. Do we really want to be robots? I guess it comes down to a harsh choice. One our government is making for us today. Security or war? Mindlessness or a strict path? Resolve for freedom, or incoherency and flipping flopping with terrorists? I'd like to think I'm better than such. But can I really say I am, when I am deciding to attempt mind-control of countless thousands in an effort to move people in a certain direction? I'd like to give everyone the opportunity to make themselves. Make themselves? What am I saying here? I mean the opportunity to become the person they want to be, free from influence. But let's face it, folks. We're influenced no matter what. I must say I myself would rather an existence where I have been, with or without my permission, molded to follow ideals that benefit as many people as possible, and propound a lifestyle of necessity and benevolence. As opposed to? As opposed to the society I live in (as I see it): one increasingly molding people to watch out for themselves; one that teaches strict observance of rules that may not always benefit as many people as possible; a society that throws blithe consumerism out as a social grail, to be obtained through constant keeping-up-with-the-Joneses and living out of a credit card. I hate to sound self-righteous, but really, is not our culture rampant with idolatry of violence and consumption? Is this consumption helpful to anyone but those involved in the creation (read: workers) and those profiteering off of said consumption (read: corporations)? Of the myriad other ways we could work our society, would not one where your work is guaranteed to benefit and be appreciated, and your needs/wants are mostly only what you need to survive? And the needs are provided by others minded like you? Sure, it might not work. It might not end up to be a utopia. But isn't a chance at heaven better than wallowing in hell?
